I feel like no job really wants me here, so that is why I decided that I would go to China for a couple of months to get some experience. Maybe I will have better luck when I come back. I think that this is really the best way for me to do it. I feel like I am just going to go where my heart takes me. Right now, my desire lies within China. I know that this is probably the best thing that I can do for myself. I know that some people might not understand why I want to go there so badly, but I have always wanted to see what it would be like to live there. It just makes sense for me to follow my dreams.

It is amazing what I can do with my skills, but no one wants to hire me until they see that I have the proper training on my resume. That upsets me, but I will do whatever I have to do to get the jobs that I want. I just think that it is so important for me to pursue this, and I think that people might be a bit jealous when I actually get the job that I have been talking about for so long. I know that my family is no better off than I am right now, so I am going to need to get ahead and pull away from them.

Saturday, October 15th, 2011I knew that I wanted to have some type of office work. My parents thought I should aim higher but I was happy with holding that kind of position. I knew that I was not put here to save the world by becoming a doctor or scientist, and I did not have the patience to become a teacher or anything like that. I am a mediocre cook, and I am uncoordinated so that left out restaurant jobs. Office work was perfect though because it allowed me to use my organizational talents. My boss came to rely on me quite a bit and I received promotions until I was his executive administrative assistant. That came with a hefty pay raise as well as travel benefits, so I would say that I am doing pretty good even though others think that I settled for something instead of using my potential. I am happy and that is all that matters.
